We have strived to refine the way we cost jobs, trying to ensure we offer good value whilst also making some profit, as FOOD IS NICE.
Charged at a day rate of £300/day. Billed to the nearest full hour.
We do not commit to fixed pricing for projects under £2,000, though we can offer an estimate based on the number of hours required for a particular project.
If you are an agency looking to hire us freelance or for subcontract please contact us for rates.
Projects over £2,000 can have an agreed fixed price. This will be based strictly on our proposal and contract. Any deviations, extras, and incessant rounds of amends being charged for at day rate, as per our terms and conditions.
In order to offer a fixed price we need to meet, discuss and develop a concept, and agree on the content before it goes to production. The most successful projects are the ones with the best planning up front, and also, we don't charge for planning. Meetings are important to save production time later. If you have an enquiry, please contact us.
There are no quick/cheap jobs from our experience, only poorly costed jobs which then make a loss because we have to spend time:
- Liaising with the client - initial meeting, presentation of proposal, telephone calls, emails, client screenings, ongoing discussion about the concept and visual look, etc.
- Developing a script and storyboards
- Collating any information or data provided by client and actioning any changes to this information as the project progresses
- Developing 3D digitally
- Rendering and assembling initial ideas in a format the client can view
- Further development of 3D digitally
- Rendering and assembling animation
- Further development, often client requests well outside of the original proposal
- More rendering and assembling of previews
- Recording voiceover/audio
- Editing voiceover/audio
- Sourcing music and sound effects
- Arranging audio
- Mixing audio
- Producing any 2D motion graphic overlays
- Compositing
- Finishing
- Encoding
- Delivering to client
We also have rent to pay, lots and lots of computer power and software to purchase, maintain and upgrade, phones, internet, fuel, and (radically for the creative industries), pay wages to the staff and talent.
It's a giveaway!
